Indianapolis Animal Urgent Care was founded by local Indianapolis emergency veterinarians concerned about the growing corporatization of veterinary medicine and its impact on accessible, practical care for pet owners. Long wait times, excessive invoices, and limited access to both primary care and emergency services inspired us to create a solution.
At Indy Animal Urgent Care, all of our veterinarians have extensive emergency medicine backgrounds. They are highly skilled and experienced in handling a wide range of cases, from minor illnesses to complex abdominal surgeries such as cesareans, bloats, and foreign body obstructions.

Prior to the opening of our hospital, our veterinarians spent years of experience in many of the area's emergency hospitals and providing veterinary relief services. Through these connections, we had the privilege of working alongside some of the best veterinary technicians and assistants in the region. This gave us the unique opportunity to bring together a handpicked team of exceptional professionals to create the kind of hospital we’re proud to be part of.

What We Are
Indy Animal Urgent Care is here to provide compassionate, efficient, and transparent care for sick, injured, and ill dogs and cats — exactly when you need it.
We operate on a walk-in basis, no appointments required, and are equipped to handle a wide range of medical issues, from ear infections to emergency abdominal surgeries like cesareans and foreign body obstructions.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between primary care veterinarians and emergency hospitals, offering care when your family vet is unavailable or if you don’t yet have an established veterinary relationship.

What We Aren't
At Indy Animal Urgent Care, we focus exclusively on urgent and emergency care. This means we do not offer routine services such as vaccinations, dental procedures, or elective surgeries like spays and neuters. We are also not a 24-hour facility and do not provide overnight hospitalization.
Indy Animal Urgent Care is proud to be an independent practice, unaffiliated with any veterinary clinic, hospital, corporation, or private equity group. Hospitals refer to us because they trust our expertise, and any recommendations or referrals we make are based on that same level of trust in your pet's care.

Indianapolis Animal Urgent Care is located on East Street in the Fletcher Place neighborhood, adjacent to Fountain Square. We're just a single turn off of the highway coming from either South I-65/I-70 or North I-65.
